The adapter uses a "Atheros/Qualcom" NIC.

* Looking in my mobo's driver disc for anything related to networking.

Nothing for wireless but there were Intel drivers for the ETHERNET interface. Looking around in the BIOS of my mobo for anything network related. I have the adapter inserted into the PCI-e x4 slot of my mobo, the TP Link adapter is PCI-e x1.

Someone in the amazon reviews of the adapter said the mobo needs to be made aware that there is a PCI-e x1 device in x4 slot for this adapter to work properly. I don't see an option like that in my BIOS. Loading the drivers and TP Link Utility from the disc that came with the adapter. #Tp link tl wdn4800 windows 10 drivers drivers# This made even maintaining a connection to the router much more unstable, uninstalling the Utility fixed this. This increased my peak download to 1 MB/s but I still can't hold a connection to a game.I've been experiencing blue screens (bugchecks / BSODs) on a system running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit with a TL-WDN4800 v1 PCI card installed. #Tp link tl wdn4800 windows 10 drivers pro# The interesting thing about the blue screens was that they occurred exactly once every 24 hours after the last system boot. It took me a while to narrow the problem down to the driver for the TP-LINK wifi card. I had more blue screens while I was trying to uninstall the driver.

Download and manually install the Atheros AR938 driver for win10. The card is now using the generic atheros driver (athw8x.sys) offered by Windows and I haven't had any more blue screens since then. #Tp link tl wdn4800 windows 10 drivers install# Currently the latest driver is 10.0.0.326 on. The wireless chip inside the TP-Link is manufacured by Atheros, which is why this works. It's documented as a fix in the TP-Link forum. (link), dated, which officially supports Windows 8.1. TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 V1 Wireless PCI Express Adapter Driver 140506 for Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1 x86/圆4 free dowload at UserDrivers.Com. (I installed the driver only, not the TP-LINK software.) The blue screens didn't occur until after the most recent Microsoft upates / patches that went out on Decem- I suspect something in those updates broke something with that driver. #Tp link tl wdn4800 windows 10 drivers driver# Publisher: TP-LINK, OS: Windows XP 32-bit, Windows XP 64-bit.

My first build has gone fairly smoothly, but I am unable to get Bluetooth to work. Without the guides and forums on this website, I could not have built my first hackintosh! First of all, I am a newbie to the forum, and to “hackintoshing.” Thank you to tonymac & all of the enthusiasts that have put so much time and energy into building a cohesive hackintoshing community.
